fucking jingoistic-ly arrogant is it of Newt Gingrich to say he wants
to turn the moon into the 51st US state? No wonder the rest of the world
thinks we've lost our minds. Maybe he should check out the legality of that first. Here's the international treaty language
on the uses of outer space:
"Outer space, including the Moon and other celestial bodies, are not subject to national appropriation by claim of sovereignty, by means of use or occupation, or by any other means."
