The Pentagon's Priciest Plane Can't Fly Or What Other Things Would $1 Trillion Buy?

The military industrial complex newest boondoggle is the F-35 fighter. It costs one trillion dollars and the darn thing doesn't work. The question is what other things could we of spent this money on or not spent this money on? Instead we get Defense Secretary Leon Panetta whining about how cutting the Pentagon budget will put America in danger. Defense spending actually is money down a rabbit hole. Military spending has no long term return like the same dollars spent on education, health care, infrastructure or protecting the environment for example. But the jingoistic compromised war making politicians just continue to feed this corrupt corporate beast.
