A Day Of Imfamy For Occupy Wall Street

NYC Raid Comes 2 Days Before Planned '#N17' National Day Of Action Against 1%
"The timing of this late-night raid on Zuccotti Park may seem suspicious to many in the Occupy Wall Street movement. They were planning to hold a series of actions on Thursday, the two-month anniversary of Occupy Wall Street, including an attempt to close off bankers' access to Wall Street:"On the morning of November 17, we will shut down Wall Street. We will ring the People’s Bell, and initiate a street carnival in which we rebuild and celebrate the neighborhoods that the Wall Street economy has destroyed. Unions were also supposed to get in on the action, with a large rally planned for Foley Square. If those #N17 events go forward, they will certainly take on a different tone after tonight's eviction." -- Matt Sledge
